i did the jefferson cup road race, just down the road from the hamlet of charlottesville. i registered as a collegiate racer because my new vanderkitten kit isn't in yet; and last-year's kit isn't very pro of me to wear ;-)
i survived, and used some of the tricks taught in the pro peloton to do so. namely: never give up.
my little legs were very tired from running the charlottesville 10-miler the day prior. my hamstrings wanted to shrink up into my ribcage.
i even got to meet the granderkitten. she did really well in the sprint!
between running the 10-miler (in a decent time for someone who hasn't run that far since 2002) and the jefferson cup i gathered with some cronies to spectate some professional bull riding. it was like coming home! alasdair even bought a hat, which looked mighty dandy on him. his friends back home in scotland will wonder what got into him.

i am doing well and am reminded how alive one feels after finishing a bike race. any race will do. just race.
i got some nasty lung sickness that was exacerbated by dancing for 5 hours on thursday in a smoky club...but oh well!
and speaking of thursday, check out my classmates. hotness abounds.
hope and i git down! (and jonny gives an interview on our religious views)

It was great to meet and race with you - thanks for all your help with Jeff Cup!
Welcome back to the bike and kudos for rocking it a day after running a 10-miler. Ouch.
I'm glad to see you're back on the bike and racing, congrats!
