some housekeeping

while cleaning up the dusty corners of my brain, i found the following things:
1. the ladies of schick-targetraining had the hottest crew in el salvador. hands down.
director jorge romero (left) and mechanic peter hall

2. who is chester arthur? (no ivy leaguers need answer, please!) he was president of this country at one point. who knew? not i. yours truly memorized lewis carroll's jabberwocky, but not the listylist of this country's leaders? wtf? and there are only 43 of them...whereas the jabberwocky had 28 stanzas, most containing made-up words. chester arthur is not a made-up word. why couldn't my youthful brain absorb that? sheesh! jackson, gw, jeff-slice, lincoln, jack k, etc are freebies 'cause they mock me from my wallet. speaking of which, betchya many-a-fool thinks benny franklin was prez cause he rolls on the hondo bill.
also, in close second and third of "who are these guys again?": franklin pierce and benjamin harrison. the mid-to-late 1800s needs some marketing help. all i remember is the civil war (or, as some say, "the war of northern aggression").
hey, if you think this makes me dumb, please blame someone else for my stupidity. it can't possibly be my own, lazy fault.
3. i will finish my account of our last 3 days in el salvador by this weekend. cross my heart and hope to die. it ended with some slap-happy-ness, i assure you.
4. did a little off-road racing during battenkill-roubaix last weekend (read anna's thoughtful account). every region blessed with nasty spring weather has an ode to the european classic. new england included. it was fun to race with my awesome team. but not long enough nor gravelly enough for cyclo-cross queen and endurance (but no snap!) girl mandy.
that, my dears, is gravel. a lot of it.
5. this song was featured during the closing credits of the sopranos on sunday night. i had never watched the show, nor heard of the guy singing this song. but both ROCK!

I have to agree with Cara on this one. That song reminds me of another song "I believe in a thing called love," by The Darkness. As much as I hate to admit it, I can ROCK the vocals for that song. Thats out in the open now! Talk about the worst music video ever made...
