Thursday and Friday have been absolutely delightful; intermingled with mega-challenges. But in all things are really really good.
So, I've decided this post will have no philosophical leanings whatsoever. And the aforementioned challenges are just academic. The same 'ol.
To begin, I can wear my skinny jeans again. After 16 months of not.
4 lbs to go. Baby steps.
I credit it in part to the Contour Ab Belt I've been using while I study. God forbid I actually do a situp. So every day, for 40 minutes, I E-Stim my abs into thinking about situps. The result has been quite nice. No substitute for an actual workout, but it's nice to give myself psychological credit for thinking about core work.
True story. I am not blatantly plugging Svennycakes' sponsor.
Secondly, I went out to dinner last night, quite impromptu, with two girlfriends from Darden. We are taking a ridiculously awesome class together (sadly, not for MBA credit). A delightful evening ensued, which ended in bar golf on The Corner and a raucous outdoor party at Buddhist Biker Bar. En route to Buddhist, I had to snap this pic. I get few reminders of the PacNW around here, so I couldn't resist:

Today I studied my ass off, then went for a sublime bike ride. I even got a tan.
After that, Alasdair came over and helped me with my Decision Analysis quant-jock stuff and baked a flourless chocolate/almond/walnut torte simultaneously. MBAs can't stop multitasking. We even multitask our attempts to stop multitasking. In the process, we destroyed the kitchen:

Tomorrow we Build some Goodness in April. I have to get up at 6:45 for that. Man, the things we do for charity.
So hopefully on the 7th day (um, that would be Sunday) I can rest. Because I need it (and my blog needs better posts).
