I love Darden. Absolutely and positively. It is the perfect place for me.But on some days, like today, I am 100% tired of being in school. I have begun to think of my brain as a muscle. And damn that thing is tired! I believe we've reached that time in our First Year where the end is tantalizingly close (yet so far!) and we're ready to hit the road and earn a paycheck. I stayed up until 5 last night (this morning?) trying to finish a conjoint analysis. I haven't even looked at my 7 hour homework for tomorrow. If I have to do another damn case or go to one more lunchtime meeting I'll throw a Royal Canadian Shitfit (that's my dad's favorite descriptor). I didn't think Canadians were all that volatile, but we're about to find out.
(I hope I'm not falling into the entitlement trap Dean Bruner writes about.)
It's wonderful that Darden does the Building Goodness in April charity. I spent part of Saturday volunteering for that. It's the right thing to do with our time and energy when we are so blessed.

But sometimes my blessed butt wants to crawl into bed and watch tv (oh wait, I don't have one) and go back to being a lazy and selfish citizen who is only concerned with whether or not 30Rock has moved from 9 p.m. to 10.
Time for the semester to hurry up and end...before my grades take the nose dive they are so well-poised to take.

meh, i figure naming a bar crawl "Floss and Toss" should dispel that rumor quite easily. ;)
