something to ponder going into finals week

i was being a bit myopic this morning and whining to my friend matt about failing my finals next week. more specifically, decision analysis and finance. oh lord.
but homeboy ninjadon put this on his blog this week. good food for thought that helped me change my perspective a bit. yes, my mba is important but it doesn't bring the world to an end should i fail to get a's. i'm doing my best i want to believe it counts for something.
A Man's Creed
Let me live, oh mighty master,
Such a life as men should know,
Tasting triumph and disaster,
Joy, but not too much of woe.
Let me run the gamut over,
Let me fight and love and laugh,
And when I'm beneath the clover,
Let this be my epitaph:
Here lies one who took his chances
In this busy world of men,
Battled luck and circumstances,
Fought and fell and fought again,
Won sometimes, but did no crowing,
Lost sometimes, but did not wail,
Took his beatings and kept going,
And never let his courage fail.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever Gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of Circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of Chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
